well it's been awhile--last update GC was feeling better from the pneumonia--little did I know that we encountered a lovely germ at the ped's office--Norovirus, aka NASTY NASTY stomach flu. So it took over GC last Saturday night and Sunday--Ben was getting some sort of cold. I prayed. Well Monday arrived, I felt fine, got up, got busy, kitchen cleaned, house stuff--the usual. About 1 o'clock in the afternoon the stomach flu hit me, actually it completely took me down--for 16 hours straight I was in the bathroom--seriously. Got some phenagran (actually it took 3 doses before I kept enough of it down to actually work it's magic), thank God, slept and waited for the next round. This time 2:30am--sick all night, all the next day--unbelievable stuff. Oh and Ben got Sick with the stomach flu, on top of the cold he already had. So here the two of us try to survive and take care of GC--actually all I could do was either lay in the bed or in the bathroom floor. Finally on Friday, I was emerging from the depths of stomach flu hell--still struggling with the weakness and dehydration, my voice is gone, my ribs feel like they've been punched by a prize fighter--but it's so much better than last week, so I'll take it.
Oh and I got a kicker to the gut today--I'm always amazed by the behavior of grown women but today I think I heard it all, seriously, I've heard it all. Since when can grown women not be friends with others, just because they don't like one of their other friends?
Is this really for REAL??? Do you remember the high school crap--
Oh if you're going to be friends with her then I'm mad at you and can't be friends with you?????? WTH? Since when can adults not be friends, regardless of who their friends are? I understand if you're forced to spend hours on the weekend hanging out with them but I'm not talking about that. I guess it's just a way of life now--the cyber world brings a whole new level to friendships--or pseudo friendships in this case? I don't know, I didn't even get the courtesy of hearing it from the person--so it's just a shocker to me... It's a sad crazy world, that's all I'm saying.
